Analisis Potensi Bahaya Pada Pekerjaan Instalasi Pipa Cooling Tower
Abstract
AbstractPipe installation work is work that has the potential for danger and a high level of risk which can cause minor work accidents and even death. Potential dangers in cooling tower pipe installation work include falling from a height, fire, slipping, being pinched, being hit, being crushed and electrocuted. Identifying potential hazards in each activity and controlling potential hazards is a step in cooling tower pipe installation work to prevent work accidents. Apart from that, every contractor who will carry out the work has the appropriate qualifications. The aim of this research is to identify potential hazards and control potential hazards in each cooling tower pipe installation work activity using the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) method. This research requires field observations and interviews with workers using analytical descriptive methods. Data from observations and interviews are collected and used to determine actions to control potential hazards to prevent work accidents. This cooling tower pipe installation work requires standard equipment which includes a mobile crane, scaffolding, welding machine, grinding machine, drilling machine, safety shoes, helmet, glasses, long-sleeved uniform, gloves, safety body harness, chemical gas mask. Labor competency for high-altitude work must have a certificate that complies with regulations and crane operators must have a valid Operator's License. A Work Permit must be drawn up to ensure the work is safe before work begins. The results of the potential hazard analysis are used to determine potential hazard control measures as a method for cooling tower pipe installation work at PT. Y in particular and other industries in general.
