PERANCANGAN SISTEM PENGELOLAAN SAMPAH RUMAH TANGGA DENGAN PENDEKATAN SISTEM DINAMIS DI DESA BANJARAGUNG
Abstract
Abstract
Household waste management is an urgent environmental issue, especially in urban areas in Indonesia which are experiencing a significant increase in waste volume. This study aims to develop a more adaptive and efficient waste management system using a dynamic systems approach, with a focus on Banjaragung Village. This research identifies the main challenges in waste management, such as transportation delays and limited organic waste processing capacity. Data was obtained through household surveys, field observations, and interviews with stakeholders. Dynamic models are used to simulate various management scenarios, including increasing transport frequency, processing capacity, and community participation in recycling. The simulation results show a reduction in waste accumulation of up to 30%, meaning that optimization in waste transportation and processing as well as increasing community participation can reduce waste volume and increase operational efficiency. In addition, implementing environmental policies such as a ban on the use of single-use plastic also has significant potential in reducing the burden of waste management. These findings offer insights for policy makers and waste managers in designing more sustainable management strategies.
