Abstract

PT XYZ is a manufacturing company from Japan. Company management continues to strive to improve the quality and quantity of products produced. PT XYZ is committed to Exceeding Expectations by Providing the Most Satisfying Products. Research was carried out at Plant 1 on the process of making chemical blowing agents. This research aims to maximize production capacity by applying the Root Causes Analysis method. Root Causes Analysis is a methodology supported by the 5 Why Analysis method. After processing the data using these methods, it can be seen that the obstacles that occur are in the CE process which has the lowest production per day. This is a bottleneck issue and causes waste time in the AZ Filtration process. We saw an opportunity to maximize certain process times by making several adjustments so that we could carry out a time reduction process but increase production achievements at Plant 1.
