Abstract

Abstract

The industrial sector is one of the most important sectors in the Indonesian economy. Advances in science and

technology will increase the use of equipment in the industry through automation. One of the activities in the

industry is to increase production capacity by installing electrical equipment. With the increase in industrial

activities, the potential for work accidents during construction will also increase. Electrical equipment

installation work is one of the hazards that can cause accidents. These hazards include falling from a height,

being hit by material, tripping, and being electrocuted. The purpose of this study was to identify the Hazards

in Electrical Equipment Installation Work Using the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) Method. Researchers

conducted observations and asked the contractors. Researchers collected data on hazards and how to control

them so that accidents do not occur and minimize risks. This electrical installation work requires skilled

equipment and workers. The equipment needed includes scaffolding, bolt wrenches, gloves, safety lines,

helmets, shoes, safety body harnesses, and others. Workers must have received training on installing electrical

equipment. Every job must make a work permit and JSA before work begins. The results of the analysis of

electrical equipment installation work to determine control measures that can be used as procedures at PT. X

and in other industries.
