Abstract

Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) is a critical aspect of machine maintenance activities,
which carry a high potential risk of workplace accidents. This study aims to identify potential
hazards and analyze the level of risk in the repair of roll mill machines at PT. ABC using the
Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) method. This method involves hazard
identification, risk assessment based on likelihood and severity, and the determination of
appropriate risk control measures. The research employs a descriptive approach with data
collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate
various potential hazards such as being caught in machinery, collisions, bruises, and respiratory
disorders, with risk levels ranging from low to high. Therefore, risk control efforts are required
through the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), improved safety training, and the
implementation of proper work procedures to minimize workplace accident risks. with a total of 11
accidents, 6 minor, 4 moderate, and 1 serious. and after the research there were 11 minor
accidents.
