Abstract

Facility layout is a key factor affecting service efficiency in primary healthcare facilities. An sub-optimal layout can lead to backtracking, cross-movement, and extended patient flows, which negatively impact service effectiveness. This study utilizes the Systematic Layout Planning (SLP) method. A descriptive quantitative method with a case study approach was employed. Data collection was conducted using a From-To Chart, Activity Relationship Chart (ARC), and Activity Relationship Diagram (ARD). The results indicated approximately 360 movements per day. Based on this analysis, a proposed layout was designed to establish a one-way flow. The proposed layout successfully reduces potential backtracking and cross-movement, improves the integration of service flows, and enhances space utilization efficiency compared to the existing layout. The findings of this study are expected to serve as a recommendation for Puskesmas Citangkil II to improve service efficiency and healthcare quality.
