Author Guidelines
ABDI: Al-Khairiyah Digital Business Journal
1. General Requirements

Manuscripts submitted must be original, have not been previously published, and are not under consideration by another journal.

Articles must contribute to scholarly discourse in digital business, digital economy, entrepreneurship, information systems, fintech, or other areas within the journal’s scope.

The manuscript is written in English, uses clear, academic, and grammatically correct language.
-
All submissions undergo a double-blind peer-review process.
-
The editorial team reserves the right to edit manuscripts for format consistency without changing the substance of the content.
2. Manuscript Structure
Authors must follow the standardized structure below:

Title (concise, maximum 15 words, informative, and written in Title Case).

Author Information (full name; affiliation; email; ORCID ID—placed in metadata, not in the manuscript for blind review).

Abstract (150–250 words) including Purpose, Method, Findings, and Contribution.

Keywords (3–6 words or phrases).

Introduction

Background

Gap analysis

Research purpose

Literature Review (or integrated within Introduction for conceptual papers).

Methodology (research design, data sources, analytical approach).

3. Formatting Guidelines
-
Manuscripts must be written using Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx).
-
Page limit: 6–15 pages, excluding references.
-
Use A4 size, 1.15 spacing, and standard margins (2.5 cm each side).

Title: Times New Roman 14 pt (bold)

Body text: Times New Roman 12 pt

Headings: Times New Roman 12 pt (bold)

Paragraphs should use justified alignment.
4. Citation and Referencing Style
-
The journal uses APA Style 7th Edition.
-
References must be up-to-date, with at least 70% from the last 10 years.
-
The minimum number of references is 15 sources, preferably from reputable journals (Scopus, DOAJ, Sinta, or other indexed publications).
-
Use a reference manager such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote.
Example in-text citation:

Parenthetical: (Porter, 2020).

5. Tables and Figures
-
All tables and figures must be clearly labeled, numbered sequentially, and placed close to the relevant text.

Titles: placed above the table and below the figure.
-
Source information must be provided when applicable.
-
Resolution for figures should be at least 300 dpi.
6. Plagiarism Policy
-
Manuscripts must have a similarity index of ≤20% (excluding references).
-
Checking is conducted using Turnitin or an equivalent plagiarism detection tool.
-
Manuscripts with high similarity will be automatically rejected.
7. Ethical Considerations
Authors must comply with international publication ethics, including:

Proper citation of all sources.
-
Avoidance of duplication, fabrication, or falsification of data.
-
Acknowledgment of funding sources, if applicable.
-
Declaration of conflicts of interest.
8. Submission Process

Manuscripts must be submitted through the Open Journal System (OJS).
-
Authors must ensure that metadata (title, abstract, references) matches the manuscript document.
-
The corresponding author is responsible for communication during the review process.
9. Review Process
-
Initial Screening (format & plagiarism check).
-
Double-Blind Review by two reviewers.
-
Revision Stage based on reviewers' comments.
-
Final Decision by Editor-in-Chief.
-
Copyediting & Layout (post-acceptance).
-
Publication in the upcoming issue.
10. Publication Fees
-
The journal is open access.
-
Publication fees (if any) will be announced transparently on the journal website.
-
Fee waivers may be granted for high-quality manuscripts.
11. Copyright Notice
-
Authors retain copyright but grant the journal the right of first publication.

All articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY).
