Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Authors submitting to Satria Bhakti: Journal of Community Service must follow the guidelines below:

1. Manuscript Types

The journal accepts articles related to community service, empowerment, applied research, and development programs aligned with community welfare.

2. Language

Manuscripts may be written in Bahasa Indonesia or English, using clear and academic language.

3. Manuscript Structure

  • Title (concise and informative)

  • Author(s) and affiliation(s)

  • Abstract (150–250 words) + 3–5 keywords

  • Introduction

  • Method / Program Implementation

  • Results and Discussion

  • Conclusion

  • Acknowledgment (optional)

  • References (APA Style 7th edition)

4. Formatting Requirements

  • Length: 4,000–7,000 words

  • Paper size: A4, single-column format

  • Font: Times New Roman 12 pt, 1.5 spacing

  • Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides

5. Citation & Reference Style

References must follow APA Style (7th Edition).

6. Originality & Plagiarism

Manuscripts must have a similarity index below 20% (excluding bibliography).

7. Submission Process

All manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s online submission system. Email submissions are not accepted.

8. Copyright

Authors retain copyright and grant the journal a non-exclusive license to publish under an open access model.

Authors who publish their manuscripts in Satria Bhakti: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat agree to the following terms:

  1. Copyright Retention
    Authors retain copyright and grant the journal the right of first publication. The work is simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0), which allows others to share and adapt the work with proper attribution to the original author(s) and acknowledgment of the journal as the place of first publication.

  2. Distribution and Reuse
    Authors are permitted to distribute their published work online (e.g., in institutional repositories or on personal websites) and in other media, as long as proper credit is given to the original publication in this journal.

  3. Multiple Publication
    Authors may enter into separate, non-exclusive contractual agreements for the distribution of the published version of their work (e.g., publishing into a book), with an acknowledgment that the work was first published in Satria Bhakti: Journal of Community Service.

  4. Author Responsibility
    Authors are responsible for ensuring that their manuscripts contain no unlawful statements, do not infringe any rights of others, and do not contain copyrighted material without permission.

Privacy Statement

The names, email addresses, and any personal information entered in the Satria Bhakti: Journal of Community Service website will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of this journal and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party.

The journal is committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of authors, reviewers, editors, and readers. All personal data collected through the submission and editorial process will be handled in accordance with applicable privacy regulations and ethical publishing standards.

Personal information will not be sold, shared, or distributed to external organizations, except when required by law or with explicit permission from the individual concerned. Reviewers’ identities will remain confidential throughout the peer-review process, and authors’ personal information will only be used for editorial communication and publication procedures.
