Author Guidelines
Sedanten: Jurnal Multidisciplinary Studies
Authors are invited to submit original and unpublished manuscripts that have not been simultaneously submitted to other journals. All submissions must follow the guidelines below:
1. Manuscript Types
Sedanten accepts the following manuscript categories:

Original research articles

Conceptual papers

Literature reviews

Case studies

Community service reports (applicable for multidisciplinary fields)
2. Manuscript Structure
Manuscripts should be organized using the following structure:

Title (concise, informative; maximum 15 words)

Author(s) name and affiliation
-
Abstract (150–250 words, including purpose, method, results, and conclusion)

Keywords (3–5 keywords)
-
Introduction
-
Literature Review and/or Theoretical Framework
-
Methodology
-
Results and Discussion
-
Conclusion
-
Acknowledgements (optional)

References
3. Manuscript Formatting
-
Submission must be in Microsoft Word (.docx) format.
-
Length: 4,000–7,000 words (excluding references).
-
Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt; 1.5 line spacing.
-
Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides.
-
Paragraphs justified.
-
Use headings consistently (Heading 1, 2, 3).
-
Manuscripts must follow academic writing standards and be free of grammatical errors.
4. Abstract and Keywords
-
Abstract written in English and Indonesian.
-
Contains background, objectives, methods, results, and conclusion.
-
Keywords (3–5 terms) should reflect the main topics and themes of the paper.
5. Citation and References
-
Authors must use APA Style 7th Edition.
-
References should consist of at least 70% from journal articles published in the last 5 years.
-
All sources cited in the text must appear in the reference list.
6. Originality and Plagiarism
-
Manuscripts must be original and free from plagiarism.
-
Plagiarism tolerance is maximum 20% (excluding references and quotations).
-
All submissions are checked using plagiarism detection software.
7. Submission Process

Authors must submit manuscripts through the Online Journal System (OJS).
-
Authors are required to register and log in prior to submitting.
8. Peer Review Process
-
Manuscripts undergo double-blind peer review.
-
Review time typically ranges between 2–4 weeks.
-
Authors may be required to revise their manuscripts based on reviewer feedback.
9. Publication Ethics
Authors must adhere to the publication ethics policy, ensuring:

No fabrication or falsification of data
-
No duplicate publication
-
Proper acknowledgment of sources
-
Ethical handling of human or community subjects (if applicable)
10. Copyright

Authors retain copyright.

Manuscripts are published under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike (CC BY-SA) license.

Authors grant the journal permission to publish their work.
11. Article Processing Charges (APC)
-
No submission fee.
-
No publication fee (free of charge).
