Peer Review Process

Sedanten applies a strict double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, credibility, and academic integrity of each published article. The review process consists of the following stages:

1. Initial Editorial Screening

  • All submissions undergo an initial screening by the Editorial Team.

  • The editor evaluates:

    • Alignment with the journal’s focus and scope

    • Completeness of submission

    • Compliance with author guidelines

    • Plagiarism check (maximum tolerance 20%)

  • Manuscripts that do not meet the requirements may be returned to the author or rejected.

2. Double-Blind Review Assignment

  • Eligible manuscripts are assigned to two independent reviewers with relevant expertise.

  • Both authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the process.

  • Reviewers are selected based on:

    • Academic qualifications

    • Research experience

    • Prior publication record

3. Review Evaluation

Reviewers assess the manuscript based on:

  • Originality and novelty

  • Theoretical contribution

  • Methodological rigor

  • Quality of analysis and discussion

  • Clarity and coherence of writing

  • Relevance to multidisciplinary fields

  • Accuracy of references and data presentation

Reviewers may recommend:

  • Accept without revision

  • Accept with minor revisions

  • Revision required (major revisions)

  • Reject

Review comments are submitted through the OJS system.

4. Reviewer Feedback to Authors

  • Reviewer comments are compiled and forwarded to the author without revealing reviewers’ identities.

  • Authors must revise the manuscript according to recommendations and submit a detailed response to reviewers.

5. Revisions and Re-Evaluation

  • Revised manuscripts may be sent back to the reviewers for re-evaluation or assessed directly by the Editor-in-Chief.

  • Editors ensure that revisions adequately address reviewer comments.

6. Final Editorial Decision

  • Based on reviewer recommendations and editorial judgment, the Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision:

    • Accept

    • Request additional revisions

    • Reject

  • Authors are notified via OJS.

7. Copyediting, Layout, and Proofreading

  • Accepted manuscripts proceed to:

    • Copyediting (grammar, clarity, style)

    • Layout formatting

    • Final proofreading by the author

  • Only after corrections are approved will the article be scheduled for publication.

8. Publication

  • The final version is published online in the upcoming issue.

  • Articles receive a DOI and are indexed according to journal policies.
